Unique Hops Farm Washington Wedding Venue

Lindsey and Trace tied the knot in the sweetest ceremony at a hops farm in Washington state. From getting ready to dancing the night away, every single part of this day was absolute magic. The love between the couple, friends and family was so evident and made for an unforgettable day. One of my favorite moments was watching the bride and groom exchange love letters during their first look. Their reactions and emotions were so authentic and sweet. In this blog, I’ll touch on some of my favorite moments from the day including their bridal party style, this unique Washington wedding venue and of course, one of the sweetest first looks I’ve had the pleasure of capturing. See the end of the post for the full gallery!

Blush Bridal Party Style

For their wedding, Lindsey and Trace took a classic neutral blush wedding palette and gave it a modern upgrade. Trace’s three piece blush groom suit was so unique and stylish. I love how he stood out from his groomsmen’s khaki suits but everything still looked cohesive. Typically wedding style is all about the bride, but I love to see a groom take a fashion forward take on their wedding day attire!

Speaking of our bride, Lindsey’s gorgeous lace wedding dress had removable off-the-shoulder sleeves for a fun twist of her own. She wore the sleeves during the ceremony and removed them for a second look during the reception which was perfect for dancing. To compliment her look, her bridesmaids wore blush bridesmaids dresses with floral appliques. The ladies looked gorgeous and their dresses made a fun statement. Their neutral blush bridesmaids bouquets brought the whole look together for a seriously stylish wedding party.

Hops Farm Washington Wedding Venue

This was my first time shooting a wedding at a hops farm and it was absolutely beautiful. The vibrant green of the fields made for a stunning backdrop for our bride and groom portraits. Carpenter Ranches is a family farm in the Yakima Valley that grows hops, apples, cherries, and more throughout the seasons. They have multiple locations to host your wedding ceremony and reception both indoors and outdoors. The real star of the show is their field of hops where Lindsey and Trace did their first look and took stunning bride and groom photos in the bright green fields. Not to mention, your guests can enjoy local craft beers that utilize their hops for a fun experience during your wedding reception!

Romantic & Emotional First Look

Some of my favorite photos from the day are from the couple’s adorable first look. There was so much anticipation and when Trace finally saw his future wife, his emotional reaction was so sweet. They decided to exchange love letters in a special and private moment before their ceremony. The first look also gave us a few minutes to capture some portraits of the two of them so they could enjoy more of their cocktail hour with guests. In a previous post I gave even more examples of why I love when my couples do a first look. In case you missed it, you can find the link here to that post along with photos from Wendy and Caleb’s wedding day!

These are the moments that make my job so fulfilling and incredible. I love when my couples feel comfortable and relaxed enough to be authentic in front of my camera. This is one of the most important parts of my process to ensure that we capture moments that will last a lifetime.
