A Taylor Swift Wedding

Yes, it’s true. I’m a Swiftie. Proud of it! And with recent, shall we say, events, the romantic in me can’t help but wonder what a Taylor Swift wedding would look like. Trust me, I’ve had a lot of time to think about this, and I can honestly say I’ve been at weddings and thought, “Taylor Swift would love this!” Okay, so I’m obsessed.

The Venue

Nothing says Taylor Swift Wedding quite like Nestledown in Los Gatos, CA. I mean…look at this place. The cute elf-like cottage and the stunning gardens and the tall redwoods. You can’t stare at these pictures without thinking of Folklore. It’s exclusive, too. Out in the middle of a forest and hidden from view. I think she’d appreciate the privacy. And so for venues, this was an easy pick for me.

The Colors

When I think of a Taylor Swift Wedding, I see a multitude of colors. I picture her album covers, each different, yet blending together somehow. A splash of crimson from Red, the contrast of fuchsia from Speak Now, the pastels of Lover, or maybe the wooden feel of Folklore. Taylor Swift is bold in her choices and I expect nothing less for her wedding.

The Flowers

It won’t be the same-old, same-old ivory flowers that so many brides chose. Her flowers will be as wild and untamed as Taylor herself. When I looked at the Taylor Swift engagement photos, I see Travis had the same idea. Lots of variety here and tons and tons of flowers.

The Dress (Or Probably Dresses)

Okay, this one I’m sure about–she’ll go for the WOW factor. I mean, just look at her costumes on stage. Can you imagine a Taylor Swift Wedding? Taylor favors the bold and the brazen with a little bit of wicked thrown in. I see her in a statement dress. A tight bodice with a lot of crystals and a train that flows behind her. After all, this will be America’s version of a royal wedding and I would expect nothing less from our Queen of Pop. She’s going to change into multiple dresses, too, what she wears for pre-wedding photos will be different than the ceremony and very different than the reception.

The Ceremony

As much as Taylor talks about The Life of a Showgirl, I think she’ll go for traditional when it comes to the ceremony. After all, she wrote Love Story. Now she gets to live her own, real-life romance and she’s going to revel in it. I see just her and Travis at the alter, the two of them looking into each other’s eyes, reading their own vows, and focusing on each other. For that reason I wonder if they won’t elope to a secluded spot deep in the woods. Everyone else could fade into the foreground and they could focus on themselves.

The Reception

This is where the flowers will come back into play. Just like the Taylor Swift engagement, it will feel like walking into a flower shop at her reception. There will be lots of lights and windows that will gleam like a jewel. I can’t imagine she’d settle for something small for this. It will be grand and big and elegant with lots of room for her friends and a whole football team. What a party it will be.

The Dets

This is where Taylor will go crazy for sure. The devil is in the details and who better than a Mastermind to plan this kind of thing? She’ll have a portrait painter for sure. Her accessories will be to-die for. She’ll wear jewelry that is certain to compliment her spectacular engagement ring. I’m sure the table settings will be unique with lots of pops of color. I think the lighting will be low, but the sparkle will be ON. And when she leaves, of course her and Travis will ride off into the sunset in a fancy car.

This was so much fun! I can’t wait to see what a Taylor Swift Wedding looks like and to find out what I got right and wrong. But whatever she choses, I’m sure it’ll be as spectacular as her music.
