Modern Rustic Fall Wedding | Wendy + Caleb

Wendy’s and Caleb’s truly had the perfect fall day for their wedding in Palo Cedro, California. The golden landscape provided the perfect backdrop for a romantic first look. Later on, we did their sunset bride and groom portraits with horses roaming behind them. Wendy and Caleb chose stunning shades of rust orange and deep burgundy to compliment the changing fall colors. The bridesmaids wore a gorgeous shade of emerald green. From start to finish, their rustic boho wedding style was perfect for this fall wedding. In this blog, I’ll cover some of my favorite parts of their day including the rustic fall wedding color palette full of beautiful jewel tones and the sweetest first look. And of course, share more photos from this special day!

Jewel Tone Fall Wedding Colors

My favorite decor element of this rustic fall wedding was the jewel tone color palette. They took a classic fall color palette and gave it a modern and fresh update. Their fall bridal bouquets and rustic centerpieces included vibrant hues of burnt orange, emerald green and rich burgundy. The golden autumn tones of their outdoor venue space complimented their rustic fall wedding color palette perfectly. Add the sunset, and you have the most gorgeous fall wedding photos. As for the wedding party, the bridesmaids wore a vibrant shade of emerald green in mismatched styles. For the guys, modern beige suits were the ideal complement to offset the other bold fall colors.

Why I Love a First Look

My favorite part of this wedding day had to be the first look. A lot of people think that doing a first look will ruin the moment of seeing their partner for the first time, but I have to disagree. In my experience, first looks get all of the nerves and anticipation out of the way and can help relieve any pressure and nerves you might have. This can help you feel more comfortable and present when it’s time to say “I do” in front of all your guests. More often than not, I get more of an emotional reaction from my grooms when they see their bride walking down the aisle AFTER their first look.

Wendy and Caleb exchanged wedding gifts and love notes as part of their first look which I absolutely love. If there’s one thing all couples can agree on about their wedding day, it’s that it goes by in a flash. Taking a quick moment between just the two of you before the whirlwind of your wedding day begins can be so special. It’s not for everyone, but I promise you will not lose that magic by doing a first look!

Romantic Rustic Fall Wedding

I can’t say enough how truly special Wendy and Caleb’s wedding day was. Not only could you feel the love between these two, but from all of their family and friends. Their ceremony was filled with emotional moments, and our groom was brought to tears when he saw his bride coming up the aisle. Their wedding party was such a fun group to capture, even tossing the groom into the air for some fun shots. Everyone danced the night away right up until the sparkler exit at the end of the night.
