No matter what the venue or season of your wedding is, pastel wedding colors will truly never go out of style. In this post, I’m covering Francesca and Daniel’s modern romantic wedding in Portland, Oregon. Not only did it have the most stunning pastel colors, but we got lucky with an unbelievable sunset that complimented the palette perfectly. I’ll be covering the beautiful Portland venue, the romantic wedding decor and the sweet and special moments that made up this incredible wedding day. One of the best parts of this job? Getting to travel all over the world to capture my couples. But for those of you who have been here for a while, you know I’m a West Coast girl at heart. So when I get the opportunity to go to a place like Portland, Oregon to capture a couple like Francesca and Daniel…you bet I’m there. No matter what the vibe is for your wedding, Portland is guaranteed to have the perfect venue and not to mention countless incredible vendors. There’s so many options downtown, but there’s also opportunities to take advantage of the natural beauty not far outside the city. For their wedding, Francesca and Daniel chose Redland Family Farms, a beautiful rustic yet modern property in Oregon City. In the center of the property is this towering oak tree and it’s the perfect place for a romantic wedding ceremony. For your reception, the modern whitewashed barn is the ideal blank canvas for any wedding aesthetic. Not to mention, endless places for us to capture some gorgeous wedding photos.
Speaking of wedding aesthetics (and gorgeous wedding photos), let’s talk about the stunning modern romantic decor and pastel wedding colors at Francesca and Daniel’s wedding. The florals by the amazing Brier & Ivy were the star of the show and really brought the entire venue to life. The design was all about wildflowers in pastel shades but with a modern feel. For the ceremony, plumes of ethereal white and pastel flowers formed a halo around the couple as they stood at the aisle. A romantic yet industrial sign welcomed guests to the ceremony and simple plumes of flowers adorned the aisle.
For the reception, guests entered the venue to another modern acrylic seating chart in a beautiful shade of pastel coral. Long farm tables filled the space topped with flickering candles and minimalist floral arrangements in simple bud vases. The sweetheart table was the focal point adorned with more beautiful flowers.
Even more beautiful than the decor and pastel wedding colors was the love that surrounded Francesca and Daniel the entire day. We started off the day with the sweetest first look where Daniel was blown away by his gorgeous bride. During the ceremony, he held their adorable daughter in his arms while Francesca walked down the aisle and everyone’s eyes were teary. It was such a sweet moment. During the reception, their loved ones shared beautiful memories about the couple during their speeches and the happy tears continued. After everyone shared a meal and caught up over dinner, their guests hit the outdoor dance floor all night and had an absolute blast. It was such an unforgettable night.
