Hey, I'm Codi! A western luxury wedding photographer in Northern California. Traveling near and far for love, I'm available for intimate destinations, elopements and more!
Alexis + Nick’s wedding was a highlight of 2023 for SO many reasons. Not only was it the most stunning day at this romantic San Francisco wedding venue, but we ended up getting featured in PEOPLE Magazine! In this post, I’ll be covering all the details on this amazing venue, some insight from our bride and groom and of course, the full gallery for inspiration at the end!
Alexis and Nick exchanged vows at a gorgeous venue that was equal parts romantic and modern, Thomas Fogarty Winery. For the couple, it was the perfect place for their friends and family to gather since they’re from the nearby cities of Los Gatos and Danville. Not to mention, the stunning views of this San Francisco wedding venue complimented the white roses and lilies of their floral design and added the perfect backdrop to their neutral decor.
They kept the decor minimalistic and sleek for their ceremony as the clouds served as the prettiest ethereal background as they exchanged vows. Gorgeous white ceremony flowers lined the aisle as Alexis walked to her emotional groom. For the reception, it was all about fun details and creating a laid-back atmosphere. This venue was perfect for the relaxed vibe with areas for people to mingle, enjoy views of the vineyards and play lawn games. What I love most about this San Francisco wedding venue is that there’s a beautiful covered space to enjoy an outdoor dinner with your guests. Then you can move inside for dancing in the covered lodge when the temperature gets cooler. It’s truly the best of both worlds and I can’t recommend this venue enough!
Alexis and Nick described their day as “an absolute dream come true”, telling PEOPLE that “the food was incredible, our wedding planner killed it, and everyone danced their faces off. It was the best wedding we’ve ever been to.” They assembled quite the vendor team and I’m proud of what we were able to create to bring their perfect wedding day to life. Everything came together seamlessly so the bride and groom could truly soak in every moment of the day. Which as you can see made for stunning documentary wedding photos.
Like Nick and Alexis said best, “we wanted it to be a movie, and it was.”
I always love when a couple incorporates fun details into their day that really tell the story of who they are as a couple. For Nick and Alexis, that included an open seating style reception so their loved ones could mingle together and share a meal. They also love to eat, so delicious food was a must, and the catering team at this San Francisco wedding venue definitely delivered. Instead of traditional wedding cake, they opted for a mini version of their favorite treat, strawberry shortcake, which all the guests loved and was perfect for summer.
Our bride loves to dance so they made sure to carefully curate the playlist, and guests were on the dance floor all night having a blast. Just more proof that creating your wedding day around what you truly want makes for the most unforgettable experience for everyone!
