San Francisco Engagement Session | Charlie + Chandler

Need a sign that you should book your engagement session on the California Coast? Look no further than Chandler and Charlie’s adorable San Francisco Bay engagement photos. Shooting in San Francisco has a special place in my heart, and I know all the best spots to capture that perfect moment. Just as important as the location is what you decide to wear. Chandler and Charlie opted for neutral styles that looked great at every location we chose and are truly timeless.

Coastal San Francisco Engagement Session

One of my favorite parts about shooting in San Francisco is actually the unpredictable weather. Rain can roll in at any moment, bringing moody clouds and dense fog that makes for some pretty amazing photos. The next moment, the sun could pop out to glimmer on the ocean providing a whole new landscape. Even brisk winds make for sweeping romantic shots. While we stuck to the coastline for this engagement photoshoot, the city has endless location options for more of a downtown aesthetic. But no matter what, you always have to get that iconic Golden Gate Bridge shot!

Neutral Engagement Photo Outfits

During their session, Chandler and Charlie went for two different engagement photo outfits. One a bit more formal and bridal inspired, and the other a perfect fall couple look with chunky sweaters and boots. I love when my couples go for two completely different styles during their shoot. It allows you to embrace different vibes and gives you so much variety in your photos to really maximize your photoshoot. Just like Chandler and Charlie, I always recommend you go for a dressier option as well as something more casual. Can we also talk about this stunning emerald cut three stone dainty engagement ring?! Such a unique and timeless style that paired beautifully with her neutral manicure. Perfection!

Posing Tips + Tricks

There’s no denying that getting in front of the camera can feel a bit awkward. Especially if it’s your first time doing a professional photoshoot! My photography style is very authentic and interactive. I’m here to help you find the perfect lighting and poses so you end up with a gallery full of stunning shots. Most importantly, in a way that feels natural and comfortable. I might tell you to whisper something in your partner’s ear or pick them up for a kiss. Gaze out at the water with your arms around each other or touch your hands together for that gorgeous engagement ring shot. Some of my couples find having props helpful during their engagement session as well. Consider bringing a portable speaker if you think music will help you get into the mood! Popping a bottle of champagne is a fun touch for your photos and even have a few sips to help take the edge off! No matter what your style or what you hope to accomplish during your session, I’m here to help make that happen.
